MG Morning Breeze: Updates to Skim before Market
Mettis Global • • 1 min read

Mettis Global reported that the Ministry of Energy's Petroleum Division has revised ex-depot prices for petroleum products, with High-Speed Diesel (HSD) rising Rs6.72 per litre and petrol up Rs3.40 per litre. The new rates take effect from September 10, 2026. The revision marks the third consecutive fuel price increase.
Mettis Global's digest also pointed to crude oil nearing $100 a barrel, with US and Iran hostilities again stoking worries about Middle Eastern supply. On Wednesday, the benchmark KSE-100 closed 0.40 per cent lower at 171,943.59, a fall of 698.57 points, which the digest linked to higher oil prices.
Other items in the same digest covered gold rising Rs800 to Rs462,936 per tola and the rupee closing at PKR 277.36 per dollar in the interbank market. Those figures sit alongside the fuel revision in the same morning update.
