Urea offtakes skyrocket 39% YoY in Oct

Pakistan’s urea sales to dealers climbed 39% year on year to 487,000 tons in October 2026, while DAP volumes dropped 24% to 166,000 tons, Mettis Global reported, citing provisional figures from Arif Habib Limited (AHL). Across January to October, urea sales increased 7% to 4.89 million tons, but DAP sales declined 7% to 941,000 tons. October urea volumes were nevertheless 20% below September’s 611,000 tons.

Among listed producers, FFC recorded urea sales of 257,000 tons, up 54% year on year, and FATIMA sold 56,000 tons, a 30% increase. EFERT’s urea sales rose 13% to 138,000 tons, while AGL’s grew 89% to 36,000 tons. AHL attributed the broader recovery to improved farm economics and a rebound after monsoon disruption and transport difficulties; it said farmers’ move toward nitrogen-based products accompanied weaker DAP demand, with high international prices also a factor.
