PIA to begin three weekly Islamabad-Birmingham flights from December 1

Pakistan International Airlines plans to launch three weekly direct services from Islamabad to Birmingham on December 1, flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Profit by Pakistan Today reported that the route is intended to connect passengers in central and northern England with Pakistan.

The new service is part of PIA’s effort to increase its UK-Pakistan schedule to 23 flights a week. The airline recently raised London frequencies from four to seven weekly, effective October 27, and restarted UK operations in September 2025 after receiving approval; its British services had been interrupted since June 2020. Birmingham Airport also cited passenger demand in the Midlands when indicating the Islamabad service would return.
