Airlink launches AirV, enters Pakistan’s EV industry

Air Link Communication has introduced AirV, its electric-bike brand, with 11 models spanning six series, Business Recorder reported. The range includes features such as regenerative batteries, NFC and anti-theft functions, while selected models are specified to travel up to 200 kilometres.

The company is setting up production at its facility in Lahore’s Sundar Green Special Economic Zone and says capacity will come online in stages. Air Link plans to localise nearly 95% of production over the next two to three years, and intends to offer bike financing through its Airfin buy-now-pay-later service. The launch extends the company’s activities into electric mobility, a sector the report says still needs time and sustained government support to develop.
