NEPRA approves Rs2.3673 per unit FCA for September
Business Recorder • • 1 min read

NEPRA approved a September 2026 fuel adjustment of Rs2.3673 per unit for consumers of ex-WAPDA distribution companies and K-Electric, with the amount to appear in November bills. Business Recorder reported that the approved figure was below the Rs2.5624 per unit sought by CPPA-G after the regulator reviewed fuel costs, transmission losses and other components.
The adjustment applies under the uniform tariff policy, with exceptions for lifeline users, electric vehicle charging stations and prepaid customers who chose prepaid tariffs. It also covers eligible consumption under the Incremental Consumption Package. Where November bills were issued before the decision’s notification, the charge can be collected in the following billing month.
NEPRA allowed a claimed negative adjustment of Rs10.617 billion related to indigenous gas supplied to RLNG-based plants on a provisional basis, while asking CPPA-G to provide supporting details with its next petition. The regulator also set limits on transmission losses and required distribution companies to report on electricity purchased through bilateral arrangements.
