Kohinoor Energy Limited (the 'Company') was incorporated in Pakistan on April 26, 1994 as a public limited company under the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984 (the Ordinance) repealed with the enactment of the Companies Act, 2017 on May 30, 2017. The principal activities of the Company are to own, operate and maintain a power plant of 124 MW capacity in Lahore and to sell the electricity produced therefrom to a sole customer, the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), for a term of 30 years which commenced from June 19, 1997.
